    loud guests
    lack of amenities

the courtland hotel & spa looked charming at first, but after a loud group kept us up all night, it lost its appeal. the lack of amenities like a pool and breakfast was absurd for a place of its supposed caliber, and i woudl ve thought, as a valued guest, i at least deserved a room upgrade. i almost gave it a good review, but i just couldn’t.

Charming place with a nostalgic feel, but wells of sound can travel too easily. The history is captivating, and rooms are quite spacious with lovely decor, making for a cozy stay. Friendly owners who go the extra mile create a welcoming atmosphere.

    historic charm
    engaging owner
    firm beds

We loved exploring the nearby shops and historical sites, especially with our five kids in tow. Frank, the owner, was super engaging, sharing stories about the area that made our stay even more special. The historic charm of the hotel truly adds to the experience.

For dads, it would be great if the beds were softer.

    nostalgic atmosphere
    welcoming owner
    lack of amenities
    noise issues
    wi-fi inconvenience

Staying here provided a unique experience filled with nostalgia. The owner was exceptionally welcoming, sharing fascinating stories about the building's history. The location is ideal for exploring nearby shops and restaurants. However, a few areas could use improvement, the lack of Wi-Fi was inconvenient, and sound carried easily between rooms, occasionally disrupting the peace. The spa services were top-notch and a perfect way to unwind after exploring.

I was captivated by the charming antique furnishings and lovely decor throughout the hotel, which truly felt like a nostalgic journey back in time. The hotel's location also made it easy to explore the nearby attractions.

A few stairs could be an issue for some guests.
